Simple and Easy Challah Recipe


 Ingredients

Bread Flour        300g

Honey                100g

Salt                      5g

Yeast                   10g

Egg Yolk             4pcs

Water                  130g

Olive Oil            20g


1. In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients mix well, then add egg yolk and water. Mix until you develop a dough.

2.  Autolyse or rest for an hour until double the size.

3. Add olive oil then knead until dough become smooth and elastic. Rest until double the size.

4. Portion your dough into for equal parts. 


5. Shape your dough into rope like shape with the same length then braid. (see video below)



6. Rest until double the size.

7. Egg wash using yolk only two times then bake in a pre heated oven at 170c for about 15-20 mins or until golden brown.
