SHAWARMA BREAD | PITA BREAD : Easy and Simple
Ingredients
All Purpose Flour 2Cups (250g)
Salt 1tsp (6grams)
Sugar 1tbsp (12grams)
Baking Powder 1tsp (4grams)
Shortening 1/8cup (24grams)
Water 3/4cup (170grams)
PROCEDURE
1. In a large bowl combine all purpose flour, salt, sugar, baking powder. Mix well.
2. Add shortening and water, Mix and knead until smooth.
3. Rest for about 20 minutes.
4. After resting portion dough into 30g each then shape like a ball and rest for 10 minutes.
5. After resting flatten dough using rolling pin.
6. Cool at high heat non stick pan or lightly greased skillet.
7. Flip your pita when bubbles start to form. Cook for about a minute or two until done.
