Braided Bread


Ingredients

Bread Flour            500g
Sugar                      100g
Salt                         1/4tsp
Yeast                      1tsp 
Water                      250g
Butter                     50g

Egg for eggwash

1. Combine bread flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Mix well.
2. Add water, Mx well until you form a dough.
3. Add butter, mix and knead until smooth and elastic. Rest until double in size.
4. Portion dough into 30g each. Rest for 5 minutes.
5. Gently flatten dough into rectangular shape then form into stick approximately 25cm.
6. Form into braid (see video above).
7. Rest and cover until double in size.
8. Brush with eggwash then sprinkle with sugar. 
9. Bake at 180c for 12-15 minutes until done.
