Hokkaido Bun/ Kopi Roti Toppings: BREADTALK like recipe
Ingredients
180g butter
250g sugar
250g egg
250g flour

50g skimmed milk (optional)

Procedure
1. First cream the butter and sugar, mix until smooth.
- Once the bread are already proof and ready to bake that is the time that you will put the mixture.
*you can adjust the recipe base on your preferences
*to make it more crispy add another 50 grams sugar, less 50 grams butter
*to make it cookie like, add 50g flour, less 50 grams butter
Procedure
1. First cream the butter and sugar, mix until smooth.
2. In a medium speed slowly put eggs, mix until all eggs are well incorporated.
3. Add flour in a low speed, mix until no lumps. Then change to medium speed until your batter became smooth.
It can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days.
For Coffee Bun topping/kopi roti
For Coffee Bun topping/kopi roti
Add coffee extract or dissolve coffee powder on hokkaido mixture toppings. The amount of extract depend on your preferences.
HOW TO USE
- Once the bread are already proof and ready to bake that is the time that you will put the mixture.
-Start from the middle, put it in a circular motion until half part of bread are covered. Then let the topping drip and cover the whole bun. Then add white sugar on top to make it crispier like texture
- you can also add chocolate chip or cocoa powder as toppings.
-you can also add cinnamon and nutmeg base on your preferences
- approximately 160°c to 170°c preferred temperature for the bread that has topping on it. Bake until golden brown.
