Soft, Moist, Buttery PANDESAL Recipe: Filipino Staple Bread

 


Ingredients

All Purpose Flour    500g

Sugar                        150g

Salt                           15g

Yeast                         15g

Skimmed Milk          50g

Eggs                           2pcs

All Purpose Cream   80ml

Water                        100ml 

Butter                        70g

Bread Crumbs           200g


Procedure

1. Combined Flour,skimmed milk,sugar,salt and yeast in a mixer, mix in a slow speed for 30 seconds.

2. slowly add eggs and cream, then gradually add water. Mix in a medium speed until it forms a dough and all ingredient are well incorporate.

NOTE: WATER ABSORPTION MAY VARY, IF IT IS TOO STICKY ADD MORE FLOUR, IF IT IS TOO DRY ADD MORE WATER.

3. Add butter , mix in high speed until dough become smooth and elastic. Do the window pane test.

4. Rest for an hour or until it double the size

5. Portion your dough into smaller portion preferably 30g. 

6.shape you dough into ball and roll it in breadcrumbs, make sure dough are well covered.

7. put it in a greased pan, cover and let it rise for 20 mins or until it double the size.

NOTE: TO PREVENT FROM OVER PROOFING PRESS DOUGH GENTLY, IF THE DOUGH SPRING BACK SLOWLY AND LEAVE A SMALL INDENT THEN IT IS READY TO BAKE.

8. Bake in pre heated oven, preferably 180c, for 12 minutes or until golden brown, serve hot and enjoy!
