WE HACKED MARY GRACE CHEESE ROLL: Classic Cheese Roll Recipe
INGREDIENTS
FOR DOUGH
Bread Flour 500g
Sugar 100g
Yeast 1/2tbsp
Salt 1tsp
Eggyolk 8pcs
Milk 120g( or as per needed)
Butter 100g
FOR TOPPINGS
Sugar
Buttercream: Condensed Milk 300g
Butter 300g
FOR FILLINGS
Cheese (in rectangular shape)
PROCEDURE

FOR DOUGH
1. In a small bowl combine yeast, milk and 1 tsp of sugar, mix well and let it bloom. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl combine bread flour and all purpose flour, add sugar and salt, Mix well.
3. Add egss, milk and yeast mixture. Mix well until you form a dough. ( ADD WATER IF DOUGH IS TOO STIFF )
4. Add butter, knead until smooth and elastic. Rest until it double in size.
5. Weigh dough into 40g each, shape into ball and rest for 10 minutes.
6. Gently flatten your dough into rectangular shape add cheese then roll over from top toward the ends and lock .
7. Put it in a well greased pan, rest and cover until double
8. Bake at 170c for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool.
9. After cooling brush with buttercream then roll in sugar.
